Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Hammer LLP grows corporate practice with addition of Vanessa J. Schoenthaler
CHICAGO (February 15, 2016). Sugar Felsenthal Grais & Hammer LLP (“SFGH”) announced Monday that Vanessa J. Schoenthaler has joined the firm’s corporate and securities practice as a partner.
Vanessa J. Schoenthaler focuses her practice on corporate, securities and regulatory matters. She represents closely held businesses, public companies, private investment funds and their officers, directors and principals in securities offerings and compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and disclosure obligations. Her clients turn to Ms. Schoenthaler to assist them in complex business transactions and to advise them on corporate governance and governmental oversight matters.
She has represented both foreign and domestic issuers in all stages of development, from organization through initial public offering and ongoing reporting to state and federal securities agencies. Private investment funds rely on Ms. Schoenthaler to advise them in their ongoing operations, acquisition and disposition transactions and Investment Advisor Act registration and compliance.
Prior to joining SFGH, Ms. Schoenthaler was the managing partner of a bi-coastal law firm. She writes regularly on corporate and securities issues affecting growing companies. She regularly moderates the annual securities law series for Financial Poise and West LegalEdcenter.
