On April 3, 2018, SFGH associate Jack O’Connor presented “Section 363 Sales: A Beginner’s Guide,” to the YLS Bankruptcy Committee of the Chicago Bar Association.
The presentation gave an overview of the section 363 bankruptcy sale process, covering procedures before the Court, practical issues in drafting and negotiating asset purchase agreements, conducting an auction, and closing a sale. The presentation also covered best practices to follow, and pitfalls to avoid, for young professionals. The presentation can also be accessed as a webcast through the CBA.
