Jacqueline D. Gibson’s practice covers all aspects of real estate development, acquisition and disposition, rehabilitation, syndication, and financing of commercial real estate. With a focus on affordable housing and community development, Jacqui manages various types of real estate transactions, most of which are financed through mortgage loans, bonds, tax credits, and/or other federal, state and local government programs. Jacqui also concentrates her practice on commercial leasing, lending, mechanics liens, and AIA construction contracts. She advises clients like owners, investors, commercial landlords, lenders, and developers.
Jacqui earned a Juris Doctor and a Master of Laws, with Honors, in Commercial Real Estate Law from The University of Illinois Chicago School of Law (UIC Law) (formerly known as The John Marshall Law School). Additionally, she earned her ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate, with Honors, from Roosevelt University. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a focus in Pre-Law, Communication, and Philosophy.
